Flashback Friday: So that's what happened to the bangs

I found this the other day. I remember it all so clearly.
Antics and mischief that day. I was at my wit's end. I needed a creative solution for correction and this was all I had:

How about you? Any hair cutting stories you care to share?

oh my goodness yes! When I was in about 4th grade, my sister and I would sneak into each others rooms late at night if we couldn't sleep. During one of these whispering & giggling episodes, she decided she wanted bangs, and I thought I was qualified to give them to her.

I grabbed the big orange scissors and started chopping. I managed to get a straight line....almost to her ears. and much shorter than bangs should ever be. We laughed until we cried. Then she cried when she realized she had school the next day.

The best part is, we managed to hide it from my mom for nearly a month. My sister wore a bandanna in her hair every day, including picture day, and when my mother finally insisted that she leave the house without one, the truth was revealed....and I was in big trobule.

Haha! Funny!

I cut the hair on my Barbies quite frequently as a child. As a 12 year old I cut my own hair as I dearly wanted a "rat tail" (remember those *hanging my head in shame*)?!! I kept on cutting it and did NOT get in trouble!! lol Eventually, I returned to a hair dresser.

When I was in highschool I cut a few friends hair and then cut my own long hair in Grade 12 into a short chin length bob...I actually got a lot of complements on it!

I am finished with my hair cutting days now though. :)

I had to laugh the minute I read the first line. My brother totally cut off his sister's bangs.
