I said I wasn't going to lose my head....

I had a really fun morning.

It may have something to do with the fact that I played this song.

Seriously, it just makes me giggle.
Especially Hugh's hair.
And I like to snap my fingers when they snap their fingers and I pretend that my wardrobe changes.
But it doesn't.
I still have my pajamas on.

Sigh.

This Mary Poppins method of getting dressed must be re-thought.

It happened to me. Trust in the Lord, He will bring you the desire of your heart.

Attention! Attention! She's at it again

Brambleberry Grace is making a whole lot of sense. Great writing, fabulous thought and, of course, something to make one smile. Read the jazzy hair post. Just do it.

And just for giggles, here's a clip of a song that makes us laugh. A family performed this last night at the Homeschool Variety show and we were all laughing so hard. At the end the whole audience was singing along. Fabulous!

Favourite TV ads when I was growing up

I loved this Michael J Fox Pepsi ad. I use to drink Pepsi just because of this ad. And because it was Mom's favourite

This ad made me bang stuff around afterwards

Oh, Amy...remember when we would steal Aunt Edie's gum just so we could try and put it in our mouth the way they do in this ad!haha

Thank you for Freedom!

My family is looking to adopt a soldier in Afghanistan to write to and encourage and THANK.
The website www.canadianangels.org is getting people in touch with the injured soldiers. Please visit the site.
Watch the song. Hauntingly beautiful.

Hey Mama, welcome to the '60's!!!

I had the best day ever(!) yesterday.
I left my house at 9:45 am and didn't come home until 9:45 pm. Oh, did I mention that my husband stayed at home with the kids for the entire day. (Ok, I did stop home for 15 minutes to change clothes and to get my kids in their pajamas). But I had the entire day to myself which allowed me to do all the many miscallenous things that have been floating around my head for the past two months under the subheading of "Things that need to be accomplished, sorted out or even planned once I get the day to myself". It was blissful.(Jeep you are the most amazing husband in the WORLD!!!!Muah!)
I got to do all that and more and I even got some unplanned things accomplished off of my summer list.
I really wanted to go for a hike (#37 on the summer list) and spend an hour in prayer, so that's how I started my adventurous day. Then I went looking for a spot to organize my upcoming homeschooling and household adventures. Found a perfect spot right beside the river and sat there for two hours (#36 find "my" spot). Then I got to hang out at the park in a relatively quiet spot and I wrote for three and a half hours, and saw a baseball game (#7 on my list).
And to top the whole day off I met up with my good friend Becky to catch a little bit of "HairSpray". I love this ending song to the film. It was the perfect way to end my day. The film itself has you smiling the whole time but I literally danced home.
And after my glorious day of refreshment, I'm convinced that "You can't stop the Beat."

PS Extra summer list things that I've accomplished:
21. Skip with a jumprope
23. watch the clouds with Jeep
44. Play cards with Jeep and drink cheap beer
49. Cook with a vegetable I've never cooked with before (artichoke...interesting)
50. Go to the farmer's market
54. Request a song on the radio
64. Go somewhere completely unexpected ...thanks Jeep!
77. play paint tag

New label: Jane-Austen-Obsessive-compulsive (dis)order

Youtube does not disappoint!
I was bored the other night. I had the kids in bed and Peter was working a late shift so I had some time on my hands...youtube to the rescue. I found the best thing ever. Ever. My favourite Jane Austen novel is Persuasion. Yes, I love it more than Pride and Prejudice.
Anyway, this past February ITV released a new version of the book and the whole complete show is on YOUTUBE!!!!! AHHHHHHH! I love youtube. I got to see the whole thing on youtube. How I love youtube. I loved it before because it contained the entire film of Ever After on it and I would watch it from time to time whenever I needed some Cinderella pick me ups, but now....wow! Persuasion at my fingertips whenever I want. It is so well done. I love Sally Wright--amazing actress. And the adaptation of the book was spectacular. And that I got to watch it all without renting it--priceless. Literally! I love you, youtube.
I know Jenny is laughing at me right now because she's accused me of being addicted, but after this, who can blame me?
