7 minute stories

I don't have much of a life right now. But I have 7 minute stories. Tada!
It takes me 7 minutes to write them. I know, I type slow.

"It's no big deal."
"Of course, it's a big deal, " Junie offered.
I smiled weakly. Junie is my best friend and she thinks the time I got bangs was a big deal.
"I can't go."
"Of course, you can go. You have to go! I'm going to die if you don't go."
Junie said she was going to die when I left for a week of summer camp without her. She's still, obviously, breathing.
"I've got nothing to wear."
"You're going to pull that excuse out?Wait, is this just a clever trick to get to wear my pink sweater with the plaid school girl skirt?"
I nibble my thumb and look away, "Maybe."
"That is so typical of you. We should have been born sisters. Seriously. You are more scheming than my older sister, Beth."
It's true. Beth can't scheme to save her life. Or lie. She is a lousy liar. That's why we wouldn't let her play with us after she ratted us out the time we broke the antique vase.
"Well, then, "Junie offered. "I guess, I'll just have to let you wear my outfit."
I give a sly grin.
"But it's going to cost you."
Rats! I should have anticipated that. I know what she's going to ask for.
